What: Across media, Cheryl Donegan's work is unified by a sustained interrogation of surfaces-whether canvas, screen, fabric, plastic, or the artist's own body. Integrating performance and video with painting, drawing and installation, she has exhibited widely in Europe as well as North America since her first solo show in 1993.

What: Kick off the holiday season with the Grand Illumination of downtown Columbus as thousands of twinkling lights and festive holiday decor illuminate the Scioto Mile. Join Mayor Michael Coleman as he lights up this spectacular urban light display and bring the whole family to enjoy holiday music, strolling performers and a visit with Santa! What: Fermented foods offer a world of health benefits and gourmet options! Cheese, bread, sauerkraut and more. Join us for a discussion on the benefits of fermentation as a preservation method and a hands-on lesson.  We will explore a variety of tastes with a fermented dinner together and begin fermentations for class members to finish at home. What: Supported postures are blended with gentle yoga and breath work. For beginning and intermediate students. Taught by certified yoga instructor Bonnie Finneran. Cost is $15-$75. 614-715-8000


When: Thursday-Friday through December 19, 2013, 6:30-9:45pm
Where: Barley's Smokehouse & Brewpub, 1130 Dublin Rd. Columbus, 43215
What: The Grandview area is nothing short of the city's premier incubator for the craft of micro brewing. Starting 15 years ago with Barley's Smokehouse and Brewpub, the area has seen tremendous growth in craft brew destinations, offering a surprising range of intriguing styles of beer and brewing methods. We'll start our tour at Barley's Smokehouse and Brewpub for beer sampling and light apps. From there we'll explore a couple of the newer microbreweries in the neighborhood. Stops may include Four String Brewing, Zauber Brewing Company and Pigskin Brewing Company. We'll end our tour at the Ohio Taproom where we'll be able to taste from a selection of harder to find Ohio-only microbreweries. This tour is an introduction to craft brewing in the region and is designed to be fun, educational and delicious. This brewery tour is priced at $55. It includes tastings at 3 breweries, samples at the Ohio Taproom, a light snack, van transportation between all of the stops and a guide with plenty of local beer knowledge. It lasts approximately 3.5 hours. This tour will start on October 17 and run on Thursday and Friday evenings at least twice a month. This tour runs year round. Where: COSI, 333 W. Broad St. Columbus, 43215
What: COSI offers extended hours and price reduced admission to families so you can visit, learn, and play late! General admission is only $10.95 after 5pm and includes all of COSI's permanent exhibitions plus a movie on the 7-story Extreme Screen theater, a savings of over $13. What: As the companion to Holiday Hoopla, The Holiday Lunchbox is a 45-minute stocking-stuffer of laughs and music beginning at noon. Filled with holiday sketches and songs from over twenty years of Shadowbox Live's "Hoopla history," The Holiday Lunchbox is also home to The Snow Bunnies, a trio set to unwrap some hilarious antics and some very special versions of your favorite Christmas standards. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors, students, and military. 614-416-7625
