Spring at Franklin Park Conservatory

Spring at Franklin Park Conservatory

Franklin Park Conservatory is a great place to go anytime during the year.  They always haveFranklin Park Conservatory something wonderful going on, but in the Spring (until September 3rd)  they have the wonderful "Blooms and Butterflies" exhibition which is an indoor garden, with a warm tropical climate, of exotic butterflies amidst plants and flowers, waterfalls and small ponds, Chihuly Glass sculptures and even a Pacific Island Water Garden.  The Emergence Center has hundreds of chrysales that you can watch hatch through the glass windows.  Butterfly releases are at 1 and 3 pm daily.

There are other exhibits at Franklin Park Conservatory, as well as the lovely outdoor gardens where you can walk and enjoy the trees, plants, herb gardens and the flower and tulip gardens.

It's a Columbus area "must see" ~ go and enjoy it soon!

Hi Roberta, Your Blooms and Butterflies are just beautiful. The Franklin Conservatory certainly got my my atttention. I use my iPad to write comments and I used to ( until a couple weeks ago) be able to put up photos in the comments. Now, there isn't even a spell checker or tool bar. Someone made some changes at AR and I am really disappointed. As a photographer, you also know how important being able to add photos to posts and comments is. I was going to add a photo here of another of my favoriite butterflies like your white one. If I think of it, when I get back to my desktop, I will come back and add it.

Thanks very much William!  I usually look at some of the blogs on AR on my ipad, but I've never tried uploading anything - yet.  Sorry to hear you are having problems with it; I'm sure you've contacted AR to see what they can do to help you?  Or Craig Daniels?  Just a suggestion.  Have a great Easter, and thanks for your kind comments.
